Tod's Foundry brass buckles come with a separate cast pin that will need to be fitted as the buckle is fitted.
Belts almost always had either an integrated buckle plate or a separate one and were rarely just sewn onto the strap. For some applications the pin may not be tough enough, such as bracers and armour and in this case the pin will need to be replaced with steel.
Each buckle has overall sizes given and the strap width. Strap width is the distance across the buckle where the plate fits and in most cases a slightly wider strap will fit through, this wider strap is given as the max width of strap that will work.
Also shown are the dates when each buckle was current, and the source the design came from: cast straight from an original piece or copied from an original.
All dimensions are in mm. s/w is strap width/plate width, wider straps will fit most buckles, this width is 'max width'.
