Drinking mazers were small bowls used instead of cups and were common from at least Viking times through to modern day in some countries.
Mazer with a small base is suited for 12thC. - 16thC.
Mazer with rounded base from 8thC. through to 12thC.

Trenchers
Square wooden boards with a large recessed section for your food and often a small depression in which an amount of salt was placed.
Small are 10” approx, large are 12” and have a fancy rim. 13thC. - 17thC.
