A knightly dagger that started being used in the mid 14thC.
It had a single disc at the guard and a more conventional pommel that quickly evolved into the two disc form by the start of the 15thC and was out of fashion by the mid 16thC.
Characterised by a heavy section blade in a variety of forms.
